Johnson brings a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing businesses in South Carolina. Johnson has been active in the state’s business community with positions on the SC Chamber of Commerce, the executive committee of the Indian Waters Council of the Boy Scouts of America as well as the Young Presidents’ Organization. He was also named one of the “Top 20 Under 40” by The State newspaper.
Previously, Johnson was Chairman of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, served as the Chair of the State Workforce Investment Board at the request of Governor Haley and continues to act as Vice Chair of Governor Haley’s Original Six Foundation.
Johnson earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina and a BA from Furman University. He also holds a Master’s degree from Kennesaw State University. He is a Fellow of the seventh class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
