Magistrates (Summary Court Judges) interact
with the public the most, but their required
training is minimal.
Citizens sentenced to jail by a non-lawyer
magistrate should have the option of a
re-trial, training of magistrates should be
substantially enhanced, and Senators should
vote for magistrates on the record.
