Jeff Yelton

Having lived in Greenville, South Carolina, for the last 40 years, Jeff has witnessed the dynamic growth of the upstate and South Carolina as a whole from the perspective of a business owner and a senior company executive in the Information Technology industry. He has first-hand knowledge of the skills needed to maintain the growth the state has experienced for the last 25 years.

Having worked for large, multi-national, public companies like IBM, ScanSource, and Ingrammicro, he also has a unique perspective on the needs of employers and the impact on companies when a state’s workforce does not keep pace with the rapidly changing needs of the companies in the market. Whether it’s technical skills, access to quality healthcare, or minimizing tax burdens on individuals or companies, these are all crucial areas of focus to maintain our state’s competitive position in the Southeast and nationally.

Jeff has owned and sold three companies and has dealt with the regulations small businesses must contend with. Jeff is a University of North Carolina graduate with a Business Administration Degree in Finance.
