Annika Boeh
Annika Boeh is a rising junior at Clemson University, where she is pursuing a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Biology. She is especially interested in the intersection of market-based policy solutions and healthcare, and is passionate about using research and reform to create meaningful, measurable change in people’s lives.
Prior to her internship with Palmetto Promise Institute, Annika previously interned with the Health Promotion Research Center at the University of Washington, where she developed her communication and collaborative research skills working alongside interdisciplinary teams. Her passion for health policy was shaped by a serious accident during her senior year of high school, which opened her eyes to the critical importance of accessible, quality healthcare and cemented her commitment to solutions that improve outcomes for all. At Clemson, she is actively involved with Turning Point USA and regularly attends lectures hosted by the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism, where she continues to explore ideas rooted in economic freedom, limited government, and personal responsibility. Her internship with the Palmetto Promise Institute reflects her growing interest in policy innovation, and she is eager to gain hands-on research experience in areas such as education, healthcare, and tax reform.
Originally from Redmond, Washington, Annika has enjoyed getting to know South Carolina through her time in Clemson and Columbia. Guided by faith and her commitment to serving others, she believes in the power of sound policy to unlock human potential and create opportunities for individuals and families to thrive. Outside of academics and research, she finds balance through art— particularly charcoal sketching and watercolor painting.
