Ethan Mairs
Ethan Mairs is a senior and a Capstone Scholar at the University of South Carolina double majoring in Political Science and History. Ethan is passionate about making a positive impact in the community, whether through his past role serving South Carolinians as an intern in Constituent Services for the Office of Senator Tim Scott, providing community outreach to the underserved through the campus ministry of St. Thomas More, or working on the gubernatorial campaigns of candidates in his home state of Virginia. Ethan’s academic journey has included study abroad experiences in Portugal, London, Edinburgh, and Barcelona, broadening his perspectives and understanding of U.S. and international policy. He also had the invaluable opportunity to learn from esteemed scholars and leaders after being admitted to and participating in the Hoover Institution’s intensive, residential immersion program on public policy at Stanford University during the summer of 2024.
