Luca Ritter
Junior Policy Scholar
Luca Ritter
Luca is a rising high school senior from Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she is homeschooled and attends Upstate Homeschool Co-op. She grew up in the picturesque countryside of upstate South Carolina, with seven siblings, two amazing parents, and a menagerie of pets. Luca has served as a TeenPact delegate, runs cross country, and is very involved in Brookwood Church. In the future, she hopes to go into law and government as a criminal justice attorney. When she is not researching, working as a barista at a local coffee shop, or in school, you can find her whipping up delectable pastries in the kitchen, lost in the pages of a novel, or penning poetry and short stories.
Luca is a member of the inaugural cohort of Palmetto Promise Junior Policy Scholars. Junior Policy Scholars are talented high school students who support the Palmetto Promise mission through guided independent research and policy advocacy. Each Scholar dives deep into policy topics fitting their interests to produce articles and policy briefings for publication on the Palmetto Promise website.
