Welcome To #FreedomWeek
Here at Palmetto Promise, we are counting down to Independence Day. While we’re looking forward to having fun cooling off with our families in this blazing hot South Carolina summer, we also have the precious opportunity to remember the many freedoms that we’re afforded as Americans.
Far too often we’ve spent the entire weekend enjoying fireworks, baseball games, and hotdogs without giving a single thought to our dearest gift: our freedom. That’s why this week, we are inviting you to join us in remembering the great freedom we still enjoy as Americans – what we’ve decided to dub #FreedomWeek.
But we need your help! We want to know what YOUR personal favorite freedom is and why. And in case the pure enjoyment you will receive by remembering your freedom isn’t incentive enough, we will also be featuring our favorite submissions on our blog and in our weekly email!

So here’s how you can participate…Tweet, Facebook, email, mail – whatever works for you (it’s a free country after all!), and tell us what your favorite freedom is and why in 100 words or fewer. Photos are welcome and encouraged as well.
This is easy enough for even your kids to participate – we’d love to hear from the next generation of young freedom-lovers! So take just a few minutes to remember your freedom, and share it with like-minded South Carolinians. Let’s make this #FreedomWeek one to remember!
