Where do the Candidates Stand?
Editor
Tuesday, June 14, is Primary Day in South Carolina!
And to help you be a more informed voter, we (Palmetto Promise and our partners at the South Carolina Coalition for Education Opportunity) asked our Senate candidates to share their position on proven ideas that would expand high-quality education opportunities for more South Carolina students.
The results include information on the candidate’s positions on growing online course access opportunities, Education Savings Accounts and other school choice options, parent-controlled remedies for failing schools and more.
Obviously, not every Senate candidate responded (there are nearly 100), but below you will find the survey results from some of the key districts in South Carolina. (If you’re not sure which Senate district you live in, visit http://www.scstatehouse.gov/legislatorssearch.php to plug in your address and find out.)
We hope you add this information to what you already know about the candidates in your district, so you can make a wise decision on who you think will best represent your interests in the South Carolina Senate.
